Do I need a Partnership Agreement?

Are you in business as a partnership? Do you have a written agreement with your partner or partners?

No? Well that means you are relying on the Partnership Act 1890 to govern your partnership.

The implications for you include:

- your partnership could be terminated "at will". This means immediately and without any notice

- if one of you dies, the partnership dissolves immediately, with no right to buy the share of the deceased partner.

What would that mean to your business?

These are just some of the issues that a Partnership Agreement, often a Partnership Deed, can resolve.

Talk to Greg Hollingsworth of Bradshaw Hollingsworth Solicitors for help with your partnership agreement or if you have a partnership dispute.
