Employment Law Update 2 - 1 April 2009 Changes

There are a number of changes taking effect on 1 April 2009 including:

1. The statutory paid holiday entitlement goes up from 24 to 28 days a year for those working a five-day week.

2. The rights to request flexible working to parents of children up to 16 years old are extended

3. The statutory maternity, paternity and adoption pay goes up from £117.18 to £123.06 a week.
