Employment Law - Compensation Limits for 2009

Each year, the compensation limits are reviewed and usually increased at the start of February each year. This year, the compensation limits that are to apply from 1 February 2009 are as follows:

£66,200 - this is maximum compensatory award for unfair dismissal claims

£350 - the maximum limit on a week's pay (for example, for calculating a redundancy payment)

£4,700 - the minimum basic award for certain unfair dismissals

£21.50 - the maximum guarantee payment per day
